Usal Campground fire

Idiots with fireworks set the hillside south of Usal Beach on fire last night. All persons and vehicles unharmed. Please don’t be an idiot. I would guess south Usal road will be closed for a while, as the fire burned straight over it

Sadly, given the well known behavior of individuals in that area, I'm surprised it didn't catch fire sooner. "Idiots" is probably a nicer word than is deserved.

Hopefully, everyone got out safely.

Wow, and strictly by coincidence was I searching "drives" through the Lost Coast because I plan on going sometime soon.

Good to hear no one was hurt.
