Under truck rack storage

Hey I have a Yakima Outpost HD on top of a Retrax cover. I've been thinking a lot about how to use that space above the Retrax and below my rooftop tent on longer trips. Anyone have any clever underslung storage solutions or mounting options for under truck racks?

I have seen people use that space to store traction boards or other flat big objects such as folding tables. Some even have items like that mounted on the bottom of the rack between it and the vehicle roof.

It would be cool if you could build your own sliding platform in that space. This way you wouldn't have to crawl in the get stuff out or at least stuff in-between the top of bed and under rack. Does the bed of your truck have some sort of tonneau cover or is it just an open bed?

It's a Retrax tonneau cover. I've seen a few companies make slide-out trays for under their racks but they're made for their racks.
