Hey Gang,

We sold off the jeep setup and RTT back in June of 2018 and have since switched to a 3rd gen Taco and a Off Road camper.

camper is a Escapade Camper Ridge we used the jeep sales to buy.

( more photos to come once i can find them.)

ordered the trailer pretty much as they come standard. we planned to mod it.

picked the trailer up in MN from Escapade and Modified it on our drive / camping trip back through the UP of MI.

we have been through MN,WI, OH, PA, WV, VA, IN, the UP and a few other places so far with this trailer it tows great and has been a awesome home base when on the road.

current Mods:
Front tool box
Roof mounted storage rack
7 Gallon Road Shower
Roof mounted Renology 100 Watt solar panel but plan to install a 2nd panel
Zamp Solar Controller
DIY for fuses and breakers
200 AH battery ( currently working with VMax Battery out of MI to get new more efficient Battery's for it)
600 amp Pure Sine Inverter
5 lb propane tank and mount
Custom cooler slide and shelving in galley
Side mounted Pelican case and Camplux water heater.
24 inch TV inside - for when we are editing photos on the go.

in the interior: we added a second mattress for extra padding and garage/gym floor pads to insulate the floor.

i will update this as we progress.

Where do you hang the heater when in use, and how long do you have to wait until it cools down enough to put back in the case?
Thanks,

Cheers

A few more photos of the setup from the summer. It’s been updated since, and we are thinking about doing a winter camping trip and will take updated pics thenIMG_1557.jpgIMG_1555.jpgIMG_1553.jpgIMG_1554.jpg

More updates... trailer has had a few small improvements mainly the new pole less awning... also finally bit the bullet on the dometic CFX3 55 fridge . No more cooler life... well maybe for beverages.

Doing some light maintenance on the trailer before it’s trip west to CO. Here are some photos I had on my phone.

I can relate, having sold a Jeep JKU and upgraded to a Tacoma and similar trailer.

Modifying the solar panel mount set up... I need to buy longer lift shocks but the idea is getting there...

And the semi finished product. Need longer hood shocks for more angle.

On the hwy at 70 it’s like 14MPG if you stay around 55 it’s 17MPG
That's about what I get with my '17 Tacoma. Fully loaded, maybe a bit less. Love your setup. May go to that sort of rig at some point. Don't let that thing get stolen!! How do you secure it when away from camp?

We use a wheel lock but also our hitch on the trailer isn’t a conventional 2” ball hitch.

Making some upgrades to the camper.
Cleaned up the wiring and also building and installing 15 gallon on board water tank.

Water tanks aluminum I bent up and tig welded. Still finishing the water tank and plumbing. Weather here in MI is still winter
