Hello all! This is my first post on here and I just wanted to say I'm excited to become apart of the community! This summer I'm going to be working in Glacier National Park as a raft guide and I'll be coming from North Carolina. I'm leaving in a couple days and I'm planning on stopping for a couple nights in Yellowstone and Grand Teton. I'm looking for some awesome spots not crowded by tourists and some nice spots to camp at night. If any of y'all have any suggestions please let me know! Thanks in advance

Yellowstone to avoid most of the rented road turtles stick to the east side of the park's figure 8. Check that the pass in the north loop is open as it was closed for repairs on one of my visits.

If you get some time to yourself while working in GNP. I'd suggest taking the Inside N. fork road up to Kintla Lake or Bowman Lake Campground. Beautiful hiking along the NW shore of Bowman and awesome sunrise with fog rising over the Kintla Lake when we were there last. 2 suggestions:
1) Bring the strongest bug repellent you can buy. We lucked into arriving during a particularly hungry hatch of mosquitoes. Little buggers were biting us through goretex.
2) Fillup with gas in West Glacier, Carry extra even if you don't normally.

If you have access bring a kayak or canoe for more exploring on either lake.

Say hi to the folks at Polebridge Mercantile, they were out of Deet but had great bread and ice cream for the ride out.
