I almost canceled the trip before it even began. It has been raining for the last few days, and my last day to go was a 50% chance of thunderstorms. The park is 1 hour and 45 minutes from my place, but I decided to risk it. I had a blast out in the mud. I was going on a solo adventure just for the day and knew I would be decently safe in the park with others around. Commo was covered by a handheld radio and Verizon WI-FI puck that had service through the whole park.
Lessons learned: Bring trash bags, more batteries for my camera gear, add a new GoPro to the collection, and recon a car wash/wash rack before heading out.
