Just wanted to inform you all of the January 19 testing for HAM radio. I know there was some interest in the area. And there is just enough time to start a 6 day cram session.
If anybody is interested I am willing to forward the daily study plan and links to the reading material.

That’s great news. Congratulations. Where there any other KPR members there? I am stoked for you. Any rigs you have been looking at?
It was just me from OB. I have a Baofeng F8hp. Ordered a mobile mag antenna for it for now

I got to mess around with the settings on a little handheld unit yesterday. I don’t remember the model, but it seamed like a good little radio from what Tyson was showing me.

I have my eye on YAESU FTM-100DR if I have to go new. I would really prefer to go used though.

Thats not a bad thing necessarily. That gives you time to study for the General and the Extra. Just another day at the office for you.

@PNW EXPLR , do you still have study material for the Ham tests? I don't know that I'll get around to taking the test anytime soon but while we're sitting at home I might as well do some reading. I really haven't looked into anything Ham related up to this point so does anyone have any thoughts on a decent entry level unit? I'm not picky about it being handheld or fixed as long as it's a good bang for your buck setup.

Send me your email and I will send what I used.
