I'm moving to the Cortez area in April and I'm looking for 2-3 day trips. I have a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500, 2.5 inch lift with 33s. Thanks!

Go to the San Juan Mountains, Durango, Silverton and Ouray, Durango is only 45 miles away. Also, get a fun treks book for colorado.

There might be trails off the highway that goes from Telluride to Cortez ( i think the 145), but I have not been on any of those.
