Trail development day in Nova Scotia

  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

Led by our GIS mapping god, Eugene Peters, 4 rigs and and 6 souls cleared a section of trail today in the middle of Nova Scotia. The goal was to connect an existing trail to an alternate access road. The weather was cold and wet and the new section of trail had some steep inclines that became nature's new path for water runoff. Great:(
We had plenty of winching opportunities and exercise throughout the day. It was good to get out there, get physical and do something constructive.
BTW...we made the connection and created a new trail extension.
BTW (2)....this is all crown land and completely legit.
Here are some pics of the day......View attachment 10829View attachment 10830View attachment 10831View attachment 10832View attachment 10833View attachment 10834View attachment 10835

Hey Jim just moving back to the east coast here real soon and would love to have an idea of some trails mapped out or where some of the local clubs seem to go.
Thanks
