Hello all. I have a fairly large vehicle (Ford F350) that is an Fx4. I have the factory rear e locker and have always been shy about deep mud. I never had an issue with my last half ton but I am leary due to my weight. I use it for daily and travel. I was tossing the idea of a spartan locker on the front axle when I do my front axles. I plan to keep the 3.73 gears but wonder if a spartan would be good for daily/hi way travel to our off road adventures or if I should invest instead in an e locker for the front? Anyone have experience with these for this application?

I had a Liberty that I bult, was locked rear and Spartan in front and loved it, unlocked for normal and locks when wheels slipping. I also now have a gladiator and love the locked front when needed, the difference is I got to turn it on and limited slip was automatic.....

You can do spartan and run it for a year, not for you, then upgrade, but maybe it will be exactly what you need.

One thing for sure, make darn sure you are in the "rig for life" before spending a lot of cash...... LOL ASk me how I know.

Open, then spartan, then locked in that order for me.

Good lock, let us know what way you go.
