I love that this seems pretty basic. Nice warm flannel shirts with jeans and maybe a puffy vest. Leather boots and shoes. Simple trailer (possibly agriculture axle) and the 'Yota doesn't have MaxxTracx ©, Thule©, AuxBeam© Mossy oak© Smitty's © , the bumper tow hooks are Wrangler-styl3 and come to an upward curved point and are NOT painted red...not even BF Goodrich AT KO©

That's my one trip to Alaska. I went up in 1979 and came back in 2013. It was a 1968 land cruiser. Bias ply traction tires in those days lasted 8-10k miles before being bald. And the street tires were much better on slick rock. Elephant Hill in Moab in 1971. The trailer was home built (not by me) in the early 60's. The toyotas then used an inline 6 flathead that they bought from Chevy. I did a complete top end job in the middle of the road near Haines, Ak.
