I have a 2013 Suburu outback and looking to get new tires. Looking for a more aggressive tire recommendation. I do a combination of backroads and some dirt roads.

depends what you're doing with it honestly. if you're just wheeling weekends i'd go with something like a KM3 or Wildtrak, those hold up fine. if you're beating the shit out of it go BFG. i ran KO2s for like 5 years on my hemi before i switched to something more aggressive.

The Wilderness versions of the 2019 and newer Subarus use Yokohama Geolandar AT. That should get you on class 6 and fire service easily while still keeping good fuel economy. Had Geolandars on my GMC Sierra when I bought it. They were very good
BF Goodrich AT, KO2 (the ko3 is out for sale now). That is of course the benchmark of all All Terrain tires. But you will lose a little fuel economy for sure. I use these on my Sierra and love them.
Michelin Defender LTX, not even the most aggressive tire on the list but one of the absolute best road tires that should also be able to do dirt roads. Had them on my 1994 full size Chevy Blazer k1500 2 door 5.7 liter. Great truck and great tire.

I run BFG K03’s on my 2018 Wrangler Rubicon and my RAM 3500. Very happy with them. Have the OEM BFG K02’s that came on my 2026 Wrangler Moab 392, but will go with K03’s when these wear out. Little road noise on the highway, aggressive enough for my uses on the trail.

I've run BFGs, Falkens, and Generals on a little bit of everything. I would avoid Generals like the plague, and the BFGs aren't much better.
For the Subaru, I'd look at the Wildpeak AT Trail from Falken. I ran them on a Honda Ridgeline for years and loved them. They are the perfect tire for a lightweight vehicle. Aggressive enough for soft roading and not as heavy as the BFGs or the Wildpeak AT3w, and they won't kill your fuel economy or ride quality.

I think I’m going to go with the Yokohama Geolander A/T4. I saw them on a Wilderness and they look like they will work for me.

I was a BFG fanboy since the late 70s. Then two sets of E rated 285 Generals which were outstanding. Now? I needed an E tire with a 128 rating for weight and am very pleased with the Falkans. Our daughter put a set of Falkans on her Hyundai and likes em a lot. Mine have 20k miles on them and hardly any wear.
Probably your best choice given the types of road you stated you go down. Plus these will not affect your fuel economy anywhere near what a more aggressive BFG or Fallen would. Those are overkill for a Subie unless you are really off-roading it
