Hello everyone,
I have been contemplating getting hardshell RTT but the price is too steep for using once a month.
I wanted to check with the community if anyone has experience using a hardshell RTT. How did you get a hold of it and how is it working out.

Is your question about Off Brands or just hard shell?
I can comment on off brands across the board.
Their either hit or miss. Most of the time it's just a copy of someone else's item using cheaper parts. "If" you have an issue with something, customer service is literally either good or non existent. Sometimes parts from the copied item will swap over giving you that option. Fit and finish, seals, hinges, support struts....are normally the issues. Or not.
I've learned the hard way on most of these things as well as reading what others encountered. On off brands, look at long term reviews, not "I just set it up and it looks great".
I normally search using "(item name) issues(problems)" when I look at something.

Thanks for the tips. I was looking at off brand hard shells. But i guess i might look at the used market for name brand hard shells.

I would look at some of the bigger, but less popular brands. We bought an Ironman 4x4 nomad 1300.its a hybrid tent. Similar to the ikamper tents. So far, we love it, and while it's not perfect, by any means, we have zero regrets.

If you welait for a sale, they usually have 25% off deals, and this is how we got ours. We paid right around 2k for it, including shipping costs. Had it about 3 days later.
