I have come to the conclusion that we are going in opposite directions, if you guys go towards Naches I go to the Blues, and then the opposite. One day our paths will cross. Went to Raven Roost and Timberwolf today. Threw pics in nature forum, except the truck. As it’s said if no pics it didn’t happen. Nice windshield shots Lou!2EB1D1D1-D6A0-4BFF-839F-7B9552230766.jpegA4FADBF8-E21E-4FF2-AFD4-6AD971039DE4.jpegBC17FABA-D8E0-4DBD-B672-9471914E54AF.jpeg

Anyone up for some adventure next weekend? Day trip or over night. The wife is gone on a girls trip so I'm free from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning. I was planning to do a trip from Hwy 410 up and over the hills to Cle Elum then up to Leavenworth and back down to Ellensburg but had some thing's come up so that one will have to wait. Let me know when and where if you're up for some trails.

I could be up for something, while I am not quite as high off the ground as you or Lou, you know most of the places I go. Sticking about town this weekend, so I will be itching to get the truck back on dirt.

I'm up for ideas on where to go, I just have to be back Sunday morning. I've been to most of the spots in the Naches area a couple times this summer and just ran all of Skyline so somewhere new would be fun. As for ground clearance, I'm fine with FS roads or BLM green dot roads, the few green dot Rds. I've seen have been pretty tame and passable in a stock pickup.

That's too bad, any idea when your schedule changes to weekends off?

With college football canceled I should have more free weekends (season ticket holder at WSU) this fall so we should plan for a fall trip once some of the fires die down. I have a couple routes I've been looking at that might be fun to try before they get covered in snow. Kind of a mini WABDR from Mt. Adams area up to Leavenworth or we could just head back to the Cascades and do some more exploring.

Taking a mini vacation by force on Labor Day weekend, off Friday through Tuesday there. Kind forced by corporate to take time off, hit max vacation and PTO, they notified myself and my boss that I need a vacation. So there are possibilities there Lou if you can play. Five days off for two days of PTO used, decent deal.

And I agree about Football season giving us extra time to play, since the PAC isn’t playing we may as well.

I was going to go to go to the Naches Trail today, fire have the roads closed...

That is becoming a common issue everywhere in the west right now unfortunately. Hopefully it will improve here soon, but it is that time of year again.

The southern Blues are still open... Northern Blues have reports of fires and I see the bombers heading out and back in...

Where did they have the road closed when you were up there? At the turn of for NF19/ Little Naches Road?
Looking at the forest service map they have most of the little Naches area closed right now, but I read this morning that the fire is 60% contained so hopefully they can get a handle on it and open the trails back up.

Right now the Naches area shows a little hope based on the 60% containment, and around the state line area of the blues seems fairly safe, as of now. Lots of haze in Oregon today near the border.

Watching for updates as the week passes. InciWeb the Incident Information System

How many of you all have scale RC crawlers? I know @KRose, @PNW EXPLR and myself do, looking for a few more to put together a crawler Top Truck Challenge

looks like I have to wait another couple weeks, I miss placed my transmission mount and transmission housing.
