Tennessee to Expo West, recommend some good camp spots

I'll be leaving today for Expo West 2019. I plan to mostly stick to I-40 / Route 66, but I am open to detours. I am taking it a bit slow obviously, giving myself 7 days to get there. I will be camping each night. Recommend some good spots for me if you can, typically I use a variety of apps to find spots, but I love direct input from the community. I am open to all advice!
