...or aluminium ute tray if you're so inclined.

I've wanted an aluminum tray, flatbed, whatever you wanna call it, for a long time. I love the functionality, the utilitarian look and the thought of getting rid of that flimsy composite bed. Also, since I'm building a camper trailer too (over in that diy camper section), it'll be nice to simplify everything on the back of the truck, since a lot of it will travel in the camper and there won't be a need for a tent.

I picked up most all of the material on Oct 30 and what follows is where I am, with the previous setup pictured.

Basic frame and mounts completed. Infrastructure for mounted items above and below starts now. Gonna use a pair of hand me down EarthRoamer boxes initially, but a custom built shorty canopy is on the drawing board. Cutting the fenders on the CNC will be up next.

Temporary tail lights applied also
