Hey all, first post here and I was wondering if you might be able to help me out a little bit. I found a guy locally looking to sell his rear plate bumper. I was hoping to get a bumper with a dual swingout, but this person is looking to sell his for a pretty good price.

My question is, do you think it would be too hard to add on the spindles to the existing bumper? Thank you

Seems making sure the spindle is straight vertical might be tough. If it isn't exact swinging won't be balanced. Also, might need reinforcing to make sure the spindle doesn't flex the surface mounted to.

Try looking at the design that is on most Land Rovers
Defender ones bolt onto the rear near the door mounts and have a pin slider on the rear door (others simply have a catch which means door and carrier are independant)
Discovery's bolt a little to rear pannel but have a pin in the bumper I believe

That is if you are looking to fabricate your own one... :)
