After our last group event I found this product to be a must. As usual we had no service, we were waiting on a few rigs to show up late but it got dark and road conditions were not good at all. The only way to send a suggestion to stay in town overnight and head over in the day light was through satellite communication. Luckily one of the members had one and after that I was sold. There are so many times a unit like this will come in handy and could even save your life. I highly recommend some kind of satellite device while off the grid.
