As long as yer not too close, trains on tracks thru the mountains is very soothing.
I love night train trips.

Water over rocks works for us as well but my favorite is the surf when camped a few yards above the high tide line. Rain is also good if I know the tent will have time to dry out before we break camp.

From all the sounds that are out there, a nice and even rain is probably the best. Crickets chirping is also very nice.
