I have a stock rwd nissan pathfinder on a set on A/T tires. I have already started to build up my recovery gear and wanted to know of some easier trails that I can go on for my first time.

If you want easy dirt roads, head out to Barstow and explore behind Calico. A bunch to see out there. Some nice roads around Big Bear. You posted RWD. Not 4wd? Most of the cool exploring areas we have can be done with a 2wd. It all depends how far you want to go. I was out in Anza Borrego 2 weeks ago. Never put it in 4wd. Most of Death Valley, Mojave, some of Big Bear, Barstow area can be done in 2wd. The last 2 times down the Mojave road only got 4wd once and that was because I got bored.
