Snorkel test...!!!

Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
It actually worked just fine.... Wasn't until about a week later that my starter corroded out due to water getting into it. But that was an easy fix. Cleaned out the throttle body real good too. I also had about 8 inches of water in the cabin and ended up ripping out all of the carpet, but the seats i was able to dry out.
That's awesome! Did you do anything else other than adding the snorkel? I was under the impression that there were other parts of the vehicle that needed to be sealed before it could tread through water. Like the diff case or something..

If you weren't using extended diff breathers, I would recommend a drain/refill of your T-case and both diffs. May look like chocolate milk by now!

At that time nothing other than the snorkel had been installed. "They" say that u need to grease all ur electrical connectors and that dif breathers are a must. But living in Florida I've driven through a lot of deep water. In that particular picture i actually got stuck in the middle of that pond and ironically my friends jeep Cherokee stalled out when trying to pull me out.... so I actually idled at that depth for at least an hour b4 another one of my buddies arrived to pull me out. I kept the engine running the whole time out of fear of getting water logged and I never found any water in the difs. Now it may of had something to do with the fact that my dif air inlets were badly rusted and didn't let any water in idk. But I still have yet to install dif breathers and have yet to find water in them. I would still suggest installing breakers tho. Just in case.

Also, if ur rig has a distributor.... make sure that sucker is sealed tight.
