The adventurado now has a 9500 pound winch, this should fit my needs for overlanding. I don't get super serious and I also have other recovery methods. Has anyone else used the 3rd generation of smittybilt winches yet?

Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

Be sure to get some Traction mats and remember to use a towel on your line if you make a pull so to trap the cable in it if it snaps or a slip off a hook. The Aussies did a great film showing what can happen if something fails during a pull....Like snapping a couple of 3/4 plywood cut outs shaped like parents and kids , very sobering...
