Slide out instead of a swing out?

has anyone one here seen a slide out instead of a swing out tire carrier?
Would like to fabricate one for my truck.
Since I'm hauling my trailers I don't want it in the way of my jack if i need to swing out to access my truck bed.
Pros cons?

cons would be I think the tongue length required to slide it back in

mine drops down out of the way, but wont work with a trailer

why not a carrier mounted on the trailer(s)

I'm hooked up to my trailer when I take my little ones with me and can't really go anywhere other then a campground (30ft travel trailer)
But most times I'm out on my own unhooked.
So I'd need a removable carrier but unfortunately due to my condition, its not something I'd be able to lift myself.
