Welcome to my build thread of my 2007 Jeep Commander XK 3.0 CRD

I am located in the south of Norway and I will post pics and information about upgrades and tricks I do on my rig and trailer as it progresses.
There is not a lot of modifications done yet, but this is also my daily driver.

Jeep XK Specs and mods :
2007 Jeep Commander XK Overland w/3.0 CRD.
Old man Emu HD 2" lift.
2012 Jeep JK wheels.
265/65-17 BfGoodrich A/T KO2.
30mm hub centric wheel spacers.
OEM Mudflaps front and rear.
OEM Sidesteps.
Ventvisors on all 4 doors.
2 x Hella 7" lights.
Replaced 3rd row seats with homemade "gear compartment".
ARB fridge/freezer 50 qt.

Trailer specs and mods :
2012 Anssems aluminium enclosed trailer.
235/75-15 BfGoodrich A/T KO2.
Wheel spacers.
Fullsize spare wheel.
Homemade fenders and sidesteps.
Homemade "coffe table".
Homemade plattform for propane tank on the tongue bar.
Homemade hinged shelf inside.
LED taillights.
Zarges alu boxes for gear storage.

Thought this picture turned out pretty cool. Still on winter tires though. JK wheels with KO2's coming on once the wheel spacers arrive.

Gear compartment
In the rear I removed the 3rd row seats to make more room for gear. I also removed the AC duct and the interior plastic holding the jack.
I made the compartment out of plywood and then covered it with carpet. I made it into 4 separate compartment for organizing and structural strength.
The lid was built as 2 pieces, approx 60/40 of the width and hinges with piano hinges.
Next up is handles on both lids and some sort of lid holders that keeps them upright when I want to. Turned out great and holds a lot of gear even if it does not take up any more room than the 3rd row did.
The cargo area is also still flat if i lay down the seats in the 2nd row.

I really like your storage box. Was it complicated to remove the third row seats? You have a nice rig.

Thank you John.
The 3rd row is easy to remove, however it is quite heavy to lift out of there.
