Hey guys, first time out west for me. NC native. I'm spending some time out here after geology field camp, currently in grand staircase escalate as I write this. I'm meeting with a friend in Utah a week from now to do a big national parks tour up to Yellowstone, but in the meantime I've discovered it's very lonely out here. I would love to meet up with some people and camp and/or hike. Grand canyon is next on the list, then Zion-Bryce-Arches/Moab. The San Juan fires threw a monkey wrench in at this point. I realize this is short notice but it would mean a lot to have some company out here, especially this week until Sunday. Planning on meeting my buddy at Bryce canyon then.
