Hitting up Shenandoah National Park via Skyline Drive at the end of Aug start of Sept. Are there any must see spots along Skyline? Any other good camping spots near the park?

I have most all the public campgrounds on waypoint along Skyline Drive but just checking to see if there are any "hidden gems" around or on Skyline Drive.
