US West San Diego County - Anza Borrego October Trip

We have done it both way. This time I think we meet at a coffee shop then roll out. But I’m down for what ever. The trail starts in banner and end in Julian ish. So the mornings drive would be like 2.5 hours for the trail then we could do lunch in Julian and then everyone could head out.

Throwing out the idea of camping a half the way in on Friday then wait for the coffee group on Sat.

Sounds great to me, just need to get my running boards off before they get ripped off. Do we all usually meet at a coffee place, or byo coffee and hit the trail asap?

Was meaning to ask. Did you get that fat dent on your running boards during last week's trip?

I sure did! Im surprised it was the driver side though - I remember hitting something hard with the passenger side, but that one still looks untouched.
