RTT mattress topper

We upgraded from our Yakima Skyrise to a Mombusa 4 man. We wanted to add a mattress topper. My concern with a “memory foam” type is that the foam would keep the fold memory after we open the tent.

Anyone have experience with this?

I never had a problem. I outright replaced the mattress in all of my RTT's with build what you want from FoamByMail.com They likely will be slightly shorter than a traditional RTT mattress but that's where I put my shoes so it never mattered to me. I like Latex on top because it is cool and does not harden up in cold temps like memory foam.

I use this and am really happy, I needed just a bit more and this deflates completely flat, so it stays in the RTT. I also got a mini battery pump, plam sized and it fills it up really fast.
