Route 66

The Wife and I are finishing up the first leg of a bucket list - Route 66. This will be a state by state trip for us I’ve many years. We just got done with Illinois, took a week to enjoy the sites and country roads. Along the way I found a truck that I would’ve loved to bring home.

That is a great looking truck. I have an unrestored 36 Dodge truck pushed in the corner of my garage with a pile of stuff on it. One of these days…

Getting ready for leg 2 of Route 66. The wife and will be jumping into the truck in May and heading to Chain of Rocks. The plan is to make it to Oklahoma in the 2 weeks that I have off.

Reminds me of our "Part 1" run from Chicago to Lebanon = lots of interesting stops. We'll return to cover Part 2 (and 3, 4, 5...) at some point.

I've been on parts of Route 66 but never the whole route. It's on my bucket list.
