Roof basket suggestions?

Figuring out what direction to go with a roof rack.

Saw a neat aluminum one for not all that expensive, then of course there are some steel curt and rage powersports bits. Not sure I really want to drop 400 on a yakima, but maybe if it's worth it.

Anyone have any suggestions? I'm trying to stick to stuff that's not expandable to mitigate rusting.

I have a Gobi rack on mine.
Pros:
very sturdy
Well built
Adjustable/crossbars
Can get it low like mine or a deeper basket in the "Ranger" version
Made in the USA

Cons:
Long lead time to be delivered
Sometimes hard to get them on the phone when checking on your order
Expensive

Overall I love it. IMG_0847.JPG

I'm planning on installing a Smittybuilt Explorer 3'x5' rack on my Explorer very soon.

I found an old surco safari basket on craigslist, unfortunately the guy didn't have the mounting hardware anymore. I'll scrape and repaint it with bedliner, but then I have to find some ubolts that'll fit it on to the rails I've got.

Not real sure surco makes mounts that work with my forester oem rails.

I went with the rhino rack mounted on some bars in the bed of the truck, worked out pretty good

I have had the Curt basket with the extension on my 4Runner for 5 years and it works great. The mounting brackets work but are cheaply built...they get the job done though.
