I like the idea of an electric truck with a 300 - 400 mile range. It may not be the best vehicle for adventure travel but it would work for 75% of what I do now in my LJ. EV charging stations are popping up everywhere now. Electrify America is really gaining momentum with its network of charging stations. Volkswagen started Electrify America to offfset emissions due to its diesel emissions scandal.

Rivian is at least looking at the Overlanding market possibilities. They were at Overland Expo West with one of the early R1T. I would have liked to have seen it in person.

I went for the truck. I do dig the SUV, though. From what I've read and reviewed, you can't get the 400-mile range out of the SUV, though, since there's not enough room for the additional batteries.

I have a deposit down for a truck as well. There is a lot going on in EV truck market right now. It is going to be interesting this next year.
