Rig suggestion

Hello,
I am currently looking to get into overlanding and don’t know what vehicle to get. I am 19 so will need a smaller engine so I can get insurance. I am also from the UK so rust is a big issue and I can’t seem to find a truck without really bad rust when looking at early 2000s cars. I have looked at shogun pinins, grand vitaras and rav 4s.
Any suggestions?

Welcome! Like the moto says, it doesn't matter what you drive. Get what you can afford and enjoy. I'm from the US. So don't really know the market there but watch the older top gear shows. Clarkson Hammond and May did all kind of offroad adventures in all kind of cars and suv. Skodas to Volvo estates to BMW suvs and such. Its what you like and can afford. People can't really tell you what you want. Its what you feel. Maybe if you can and want direction, all I could suggest is try an all wheel drive or 4x4. Good luck!
