Reflectix Window Covers

Hey All,

I'm planning a trip this summer up in the Rockies where it gets pretty cool at night, so I decided to do a couple simple upgrades to try and stop at least a little of the heat escaping my camper shell. One of those things is adding some reflectix window covers, which I realize will probably have a negligible effect, considering the rest of the topper is bare fiberglass, but, you know, baby steps . I honestly didn't look real close at my setup before I got started (dumb move, I know). I figured it would be pretty obvious once I got started. And maybe it is obvious, but I'm just not seeing a simple solution.

I realize I could probably just duct tape some cardboard covered in reflectix on there, but I'm hoping to still be able to get in there to crack a window for moisture and just fresh air. Plus I'd like to be able to remove them when I want (like when it's been a hot sunny day and I want to get a cool breeze in there).

My initial thought was just to use double sided velcro tape directly on the window glass, which would work fine for the front and rear windows, and the front half of the side windows. But not so much for the back half of the side windows, which are covered in screen. The frame of the side windows isn't really flush with the surrounding fiberglass, it's kind of recessed (inwards). So, attaching them with velcro tape outside the frame (as in "over" the window instead of "in" the window) isn't going to work real well.

Don't know if that makes sense to anyone, but if it does, does anyone see the solution I'm missing? Am I overthinking this?

Thanks!

Nevermind, I'm probably just overthinking this.
Aequitas1916, you’re not overthinking this at all. If you Google “insulating bed cap/camper shell and look at the video section, there is a lot of options/how to’s and products used. Just a thought.
