In the process of getting a roof basket installed on my Jeep and looking for recommendations for what to use for cargo boxes... something sturdy and weather-proof. What are people using?

I am a big believer in Pelican boxes. We used them in the service. Used them Hard. They often got dropped out of the back of an LMTV (about 6 or so feet) with no issues.

Zarges boxes have some bear rated boxes.

.

They sure do. Three of Zarges K470 sizes have been certified as Bear Resistant by the International Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC), who tests all sorts of gear with problem Grizzlies.
I've camped in places where rangers have fined other campers for leaving cases and coolers out, though said mine were fine because they know the Zarges K470s and the reputation they have.

I wrote about Zarges and other containers I've been using for years here:

Pelican is the gold standard for rotomold style.
Plano Sportsman is inexpensive and thus far ahve been water resistant and dust proof. Used them on my roof for last weeks Big Bend trip. Three days of rain and dusty roads in the south of the park. No problems.
Gold standard for aluminum is AluBox. Mine has been bomb proof but priced similar to Pelican.
