Hello folks,

A nice event from friday till sunday. Two routes and more fun.
Winter campsite and Bushcraft.
Cooking Workshops and lots of fun.

We found a campsite. A very special one. You can camp with your own tent/trailer or else, or you can stay in one of the rental camping devices they have.
So, if you like to join us that weekend. we will be there from the friday (17th) till the sunday (19th)
We arrive in the afternoon on the friday and leave sunday morning which means we do a trip south back home then.

It wil be our first cold autum camping experience with our BCT....
And new routes and whatever we find to make fun during that weekend.

In the evening we will have some fun during cooking.
We will bring our outdoor cooking gear and will try to do some cooking workshops all together.
We do the Pruttelpot for a great soup, the new Dutch Oven for bread and more, and of course the BBQ and the Cobb for a good piece of meat and more.

As the campsite is run by people who like bushcraft, well I would say, if you like to join us, but not liking to drive all day, just come along an have some bushcraft fun.
The area is great for walking and sightseeing.

This is I think a great oppurtunity for a great meet up with all who like the great outdoor.

Come and join us there.

IF the group who likes to drive is more then 8 Rigs, we will split up the group.

As said in private, I'm up to join a day, if it fits my GF her work schedule I'll bring her along as well. A whole weekend isn't in it for me this year any more. Gotta save up some cash first.

Jut put up a maybe on the rally point, Think there is little chance that the campsite will be full then. So, all easy and good.
Just need to know a couple of days before because of some food we like to make.

Hello folks,

As we found that campsite, which I am a member of that organisation, if you like to come and stay, just tell me.
I will take care of the reservations.

Like I wrote already, we will be there on the 17th already.

If there is a lot of interest and actual coming, I could ask for some extra's.
Like Hot Tub and Mobile sauna.
And maybe these people will have some extra ideas.

ok, update, again as written on my Facebook page

Next Update:
I spoke to the campsite and they are thrilled to see us that weekend.
So, they do have a hot tub, good fun when we like that one.
They do have a mobile Sauna. Again good fun.

...
They have four acommodations;
The basic hut. 4 people with heater 40€ per night
The Grashopper hut. which is already booked by Mathias
The Safari tent 6 persons. price is yet to define for us.
The Protipi tent 4 persons. price is yet to define for us.

And at this moment we have these people who are coming, one or two nights, or just for one day.

The weekend.

Robert, Frederique and Skai. Jeep KJ and the Base Camp Trailer
Stefan and ???? VW T5 4 Motion Campervan
Timm and ????? VW T5 4 Motion Campervan ( Overland Bound)
Joachim from Norway, comes by plane and will hop in by someone. (Overland Bound)

Saturday and sunday

Mathias and Stefanie Jeep Wrangler Limited (Overland Bound)

Sunday or Saturday

Ron and ????? Toyota Landcruiser 120 (Overland Bound)

So, four cars for the full weekend, five for the sunday.
which means just 2 car places left, or we will split up in two groups while driving.
Who is making us complete?

If I could change my 120 into a 200 I might :P But I'll be bringing the 120 on sunday (or saturday)! No idea if my GF comes with me, her brother is doing his birthday that weekend as well.

Ohw, some information about the cooking workshop on the saturday evening.
We bring several items with us and will cook on that and talk about what you can do with it.
so, what we planned is the following;
1. Pruttelpot. is a kind of camp oven/stove and we will make a chili con carne on that one.
As this is a good camping meal, made in one pot/pan and is very easy to do. And I think that most of the ingredients can be stored with ease during a trip.​
2. Dutch oven. Everybody heard of that one. We will make bread and dampers in it. Easy recipies and again ingredients which are easy stored during a trip.
3. Fire pit.
  • steaks
  • potatoes
  • and more little snacks and food.
4. COBB bbq. Southa african bbq, which you also can use indoors and is very safe. In this we will make a Berber Pizza.
5. Standard BBQ. I think, you all dont know the following, but we are famous for our Saté. Indonesian recepy by me. Meat skewers. With a nice peanut butter sauce.

Well, I think that is a lot of food and I hope that at the end of the evening all will be completely stuffed.

Today a new video came out from Ronny Dahl. And I must say, it did give me some ideas for the cooking during this event.
As we are be there for two nights, well, I guess we can try out more.
So, just have a look and maybe you have an idea for this weekend to make.

I watched that Robert...very interesting....can’t wait for the rest of the series of cooking with Ronnie...look good...he has baked other things in the past and I like watching it.

lol I actually just finished watching that video 5 minutes ago :P

I'll be coming on saturday btw, GF might join or might not, depends on some stuff on her end but we'll see :). Sunday her borther has his birthday so we'll be going there on sunday.

Robert can you pencil me as a maybe, if someone else comes in that can definitely make it then give them the space. I would commit but I just damaged my truck beyond economical repair so I'm frantically trying to find a replacement that I can transfer my mods to. If it comes off I will be there but I can let you know either way within the next 7 days.

I'll be there on saturday! (GF is staying home because of reasons). I just put the rubber mat back in the trunk.. just to be on the safe side =) battery on the GoPro and Canon EOS are charged.. looking forward to the first day out :)
