Question about the ARB ez deflater

I took my to an off road park for the first time today getting back into the swing of off roading and used an ARB ez deflater to air down. It took for freaking ever just to go from 40psi to 30. Is that normal for that type of deflater or what do y’all use to air down?

Sounds like you did not use it correctly. You thread it into the stem in place of the valve cap, then you have to push in on the free spinning collar, and UNSCREW. You’re pulling out the valve core when you do this. The deflator captures the core. Then you slide the big collar back to deflate rapidly. Make sense?

I use it as a backup. It's fast for one tire but I prefer Stauns which are preset to 16 psi. You likely didn't take the core out all of the way.

I use these. I have never used anything else before that airs tires down faster.

Agreed. First time out I failed miserably and ended up using the Stauns. Came home and learned how to use the ARB in the barn. I gave the Stauns to a friend.
