I’ve been thinking for awhile whether or not to drill the front hardware into my 5th Gen 4Runner. I have rubber grommets being pushed down by the rear mounts.( I’m afraid of the rack failing without having the front hardware on) I do have a CVT RTT I haven’t mounted. Here are my questions:
For those of you have this version any regrets on drilling, how did you cover up when taking off the rack?
Will the grommet option hold up to excess speeds of 65-75 mph with rtt and gear( autobahn)
