I enjoy contrasting old with new. A tile grain elevator is very rare, with a string of brand new tankers next to it. This one located in Kansas caught my eye, so we turned around. I will scratch-build one in HO scale to be used on my 1961 era pike. The small grainary is also in Kansas, with modern elevators on the horizon.

Wife and I ran out to Lake Havasu City this weekend, on the way back stopped at Kelso Depot off Kelbaker road. Then stopped at Travelers Monument on the Mojave trail. Nice quick weekend trip.
