So, my wife and I are going to Parashant National Monument with Bob Wohlers. He is going to offer instruction on 4 wheeling with our campers on our trucks. We're super excited and can't wait. Anybody ever go out on one of Bobs tours?

I've done that trip with Bob, you'll enjoy it. There are good trips to the Grand Canyon and there are Great Trips to the Grand Canyon, but I don't think there is such a thing as a bad trip to the GC. PS, this is my truck after the rain on that trip.

Hi Robert, my wife and I are also signed up for the Parashant tour. It’s getting close! I guess we will see you there.

Hello all. I'll be on Bob's Parashant trip as well, very excited. My name is Wally and I'm coming from SoCal. A very good friend, Dave, is flying in from OH to join me on this trek. I'm in a 2017 F350 with a Habitat camper. It's great some of us are connecting in advance. Dave and I will arrive in St. George SUN (5/16), in case anyone wants to meet up.

Hey Wally, where in So. Cal are you coming from? My wife Laurie and I will be driving in from Mission Viejo. I'm not exactly sure if we will arrive in St.G. Sun or Mon. At this point, planning on camping near the trail head, somewhere South of the Az/Ut border. We will be in a white RAM 2500 with a white FWC & spare tire carrier on the back.

Broad question I know but how is the in bed camper vs say a large rtt? how much does it affect your mpg? I know the campers weigh more then the rtt but by the time I put everything in the bed of the truck I wonder if the weight is that much different. I do love the move around space in my tent though lol. Just curious about them. I havent had a chance to actually see one in person so I can only go off pics and what folks have to say about them. Thanks and I hope yalls trip is epic!

My Habitat is very light, allegedly ~400 lbs, which is nothing for a full-size truck. However, with all my overland stuff in the bed there’s definitely a fuel economy impact. The FWC options are sweet if you are willing to give up the truck bed (can always take it off). I’m committed with my Habitat setup, it’s on to stay ... til it isn’t.
