Hey Overland folks.

So I have a 2016 Tacoma that I purchased a little less than a year ago. It had barely 4K miles on it but you can tell it was sitting on the dealership lot for awhile.

It was a bit of a concern for me but I knew that this was the one and I was planning on doing a lot of work on it.

I’ve been doing a fairly good job on keeping it clean, I wash it every two weeks or so. However, I’ve been noticing paint chips at an increasing rate at the front of my hood and the two front fender panels.

I did just move into a new place and my truck is finally garage kept (woo!). I know that will help me a great deal.

My question to you guys is, what’s the best method to go about this?

Would waxing more frequently help? Or should I just have these panels repainted?

I’m patient and considered possibly wrapping my entire car in vinyl so I don’t have to worry about this for several years.

I also purchased the acrylic hood protector from WeatherTech but that still leaves my fender panels to worry about.

Thanks for any insight you guys can offer me!
