Overloading New Mexico

We are deep in the planning of our Overlanding Expo West Adventure from Minneapolis to Flagstaff and Back again. On the way down we are looking to explore and camp in New Mexico.

I am looking for recommendations for good places to adventure and camp.

We have a group leaving from El Paso overland to EXPO. We usually spend three days off road getting there. Look at the Gila in NM and then Rim road in Arizona .
