Good morning,
A couple years ago ASPW introduced his viewers to a fold out shower room attatched to the roof racks, mounted in the same manner as an awning. My wife and I both thought it to be a great idea and looked forward to them being imported to the US, however, not a $500 plus shipping idea, so we put it out of our minds. Then this new company pops up, Overland Vehicle Systems, and offers them for sale for half the price and free shipping. We took a chance and ordered one. It arrived a week later. I installed it with ease. I must report that the build quality of this shower stall is every bit as good as all the other gear we use that is from either Australia, or S.Africa. There is another company in the U.S. making them now for the same price. I chose OVS because 63FE604C-FDC2-4926-AD87-05F4FD74A64E.jpegI much prefer the understated logo instead of something easily confused with the Hulk.

Wow, $250.00 is a lot for a shower! I am sure it’s great. I use a 5 gal garden sprayer painted black. $40.00 and I shower away from my rig so I don’t deal with a wet spot. I did change out the nozzle for volume.

Well yea, you only go around once. We also have an on demand hot shower . Lookie here, my honey really enjoys going out alone and very remote, the longer out the better. I count myself lucky in making a really good choice in women 33 years ago. Now that we are getting up in years, a hot shower every couple of days is indeed a luxury we won’t deny ourselves.

Is that their Peregrine awning? If so, how do you like it? I’ve been trying to find something I can run across the back of my truck.

Yeah, it's a peregrine 180. If you want it to run across the back of your truck you'd need a 270. I like it a lot, it's super quick to setup and take down which is why I got it.

I get what you guys are doing and support it. The on demand hot is killer. I was married 32 years and would always get a hotel on the way home because it made my wife happy. We started the garden sprayer thing back when you could gat metal ones, we would put it in the fire to heat it to temp. Everybody has their little indulgence

Cool bug - is that a 64? I started in a 66 the mirrors were different .

It was a 61 or 62, I was 4 on this trip, we went all over in that bug. 4 people for weeks at a time. Big old canvas tent, second hand, we used grandfathers Coleman stove. It was about all we could afford, good times.

I hate the price of these easy to make options so I made my own system it uses either water containers or a stream, the water is heated from the vehicle's engine through a heat exchanger
Yup, we use and old school 7 gallon bluetainer and a propanefired heat exchanger . Those commercial water heating systems are quite pricey. You and I and others are quite handy and we cobble together our own for about 1/4th the cost..

With A little research and backward engineering you can make your own custom setup

Howdy Neighbor ! The curtains when deployed are 42” wide & deep. When folded in and rolled up it is 44” long .

Thanks neighbor.. i typically have used a shelter away from the vehicle but this intrigues me.

I have an Overland Vehicles RTT and love it, love the quality for a good price so I'll be picking up one of these showers once they get them back in stock! I have a 7 gallon water system with a pump, now I just need to add a propane water heater and I'll be good to go!

I've looked at these but opted for a popup tent away from my truck and trailer. Is it not a problem to have kind of a muddy mess right next to your vehicle?

No not really. We only use about a gallon each to shower. My wife likes a rinse every day, I’m good for 3 days.. where we use it most is in the high deserts, by morning it’s completely dry. I also made a stand using 1x4 pressure treated. It’s about 2ftx2ft, plenty to stand on and stay out of any mud. Not really sure what you mean by muddy mess. LOL
