My family and I are traveling from Georgia to Virginia right about the time of the major eclipse. It is going to be a mad house at most public spots, and I was wondering if I could separate from the heard a bit by going to a great meadow or overland destination that requires a 4x4 rig.
I am hoping someone local (around Highlands or Franklin) can point me in the right direction. It should be a pretty cool event.
