HAM Radio at Overland EXPO Redmond Oregon June 27-29

The weekend of the EXPO coincides with a long time event known to Amateur Radio operators called Field Day.
This event is a combination social gathering (in person and over the radio waves), emergency preparedness and sometimes eating lots of food in a predominately outdoor setting.

I'm wondering if any other HAM's are planning anything at the event?

Hello Kent, please accept my apologies for not responding earlier. We are camped near the Main Entrance to the Fairgrounds next to StoryTeller Van Parking. I met a couple from the Portland area that have set up a really nice multi band verticals - hard to miss. The two of them have doing quite well using a Yaesu 891, mostly on CW. They are set up comfortably in their van so I’m sort of listening from the door way. I came here knowing that my radio adventures would take a distant second place.
