I'm interested. I'm in Reno area. Drove out to it last year, was a long yet beautiful drive. Be fun to drive it with other folks and make some fun stops/detours along the route.

I saw something on Facebook about volunteering at Expo and getting free entry
I volunteered at OE West last year, as a good way to learn more about the event and attend for free. Their update emails have had a mention of of this with info to contact Zach@OverlandExpo.com for more info.

Great. Let's coordinate and plan out a route and schedule. Like the plan. Lots of places to camp in the Alabama Hills up the Whitney Portal Rd./Movie Rd, just 5 mins from town, or even closer to town before Movie Rd. I'm quite self contained with food but if needed the next day the Alabama Hills Cafe in town as a tasty breakfast and cool vibe.

Tuttle Creek Campground looks like a prime candidate for the first night. Thanks @VanTrip

Fellow Sac area resident here. This looks like an awesome route and trip. I'll be doing a week long trip to Alabama Hills, Joshua Tree, Mojave, and Death Valley in April so my time off will be shot for awhile. Hopefully I can make it to Overland Expo next year. Have a great time!

Hopefully OE West won't be cancelled or rescheduled but certainly a possibility if that is needed.

My plan is to move ahead as if it is still on. When the word comes out otherwise, then my plans will change. :)

"We are aware of the CDC’s interim guidance suggesting the postponement of events involving more than 50 people over the next eight weeks. Our priority is to do our part in protecting the public health while still conducting the 2020 Overland Expo series as scheduled. This continues to be a fluid situation which we are monitoring constantly in coordination with federal, state, local and public health officials. We are planning for all contingencies and will be prepared to produce the Overland Expo series as the COVID-19 situation permits. " --- Overland West web page

Hoping that this does indeed die down by OE West.
