I will try to describe this summer's big trip the best I can.
It started with me taking the Jeep and trailer from Columbus, OH to Eugene, OR.

I had to work (Photograph the 16 NCAA T&F Championships) in Eugene for the second week of June. I then flew my wife and kids out to Portland to start the fun.

From there we went down the coast to explore a bit before we had to meet some friends at my Wife's cousin's home just north east of Sacramento...

We were then heading from Sacramento, CA to the Rubicon for a three day trek to see if we could complete the Rubicon without destroying the Jeep...

More pics to come...

So, I made it all the way through the Rubicon without breaking anything!
We then headed back down route 50 to my Wife's Cousin's home where we had left the doors, hard top, and trailer...
We got to with in 3 miles of Ray's house when I started overheating... Long story short, it turned out I blew a three inch hole in my radiator.

I have a lifetime bumper to bumper warranty on my Jeep... So, called Chrysler, they came and towed me to Ray's house. Where I put the doors and top back on. Then the next morning, Chrysler towed her to the closest dealer to have it inspected and figure out the problem. Turns out, 3" hole in the radiator, cracked exhaust manifold, and two Schrader valves in my AC needed replaced... So, that took a day. While that was going on, we hung out with Ray. And loved every minute of it... We went down and played in the American River where the gold rush started... All the girls wanted to do was pan for gold... it was hot and the river was very cold... What a great combination.

After the Jeep was fixed, we headed into San Francisco to explore a bit...

We of course were looking for Hank... But only say his brother with all 8 of his arms...
