Would we have to drive our own vehicles at that location or are there other options?

Hi Joey83,
both options are available. You can use your own car, or you can rent Land Rover Defender 90 or 110 or Mercedes G-Classes. But renting an offroad-car is really expensive.
Price for your driving with your own car plus two nights at the camp-site at the park would be total 45 €.

I'll have to pass, it's a 18 hour journey from where I live (14 hours on the road)

Bit far for us to travel, but I can recommend the place. Yes. we've been there. It was used as a special stage on a Rally we did several years running. It's in a quarry and has some great variety of routes and obstacles. Would love to go back one day, if passing that way again, but it's 872 miles (1404 km) each way.

17 hours 51 minutes and 1537 km / 960 miles one way for me, right now it's not an option.

We are on tour in march/April so no for this time, maybe later this year?
Planning to spend a weekend at "böser wolf knüllwald" and Langenaltheim and maybe the FP Mammut are on the list to.
Having a meet up at somewhere would be a good reason to go.

Later this year is now an option. Since the engine if my old rig died and i bought a new one, i need some time and money to build it up to take it into the dirt.

So sorry for your rig !
Do you have a time plan?
I'm upgrading my rig and hoping to test somewhere in a park

not e real timetable for upgrades etc. Just do one thing at a time and try to be ready by may. Just put on some ATs this week and the first parts for the frontrunner roofrack arrived yesterday and i hope to mount it this weekend.
A drawer for the trunk and skidplates are also on the list for the next 2-3 month.
