So I did a thing this weekend! I upgraded the frame of my Space Trailer I had the XL longneck model but the frame just was not beefy enough for my liking. Plus I only had the 13 inch wheels and wanted to go to 15 inch wheels for the height and clearance.

I also added a custom set of These I had them make some custom ones that are not @ the 15 degree angle so I can load the RTT on it . I've got a Mt. Shasta Extended Stargazer with annex on my tacoma thats about to find a new home.
The only thing I need to do is make some crossbars. I'm trying to decide if I should go aluminum or if I should do steel. I like the idea of steel because its sturdy but they weigh a ton! That and I am a little worried about the steel being bolted up to the aluminum I read in a few places that can cause corrosion of sorts.

Thoughts?

Since the uprights are aluminium and the crossbars are steel I used rubber band between them to avoid that nasty corrosion.
