Ocracoke Trip Suggestions

East coast overlanders. Taking the rig (4Runner) and base camp (inTech Explore) to Ocracoke island this weekend. Any suggestions or noteworthy activities to report?

Probably not a lot going on yet. If you're coming in from the north (US64 to Nags Head), I'd suggest a ride through the NPS Frisco campground. I think its a much better option than the Ocracoke CG with more privacy between sites rather than an open field. You can still get over to Ocracoke easily on the free ferry for a day trip

Redfish running?
I want to go hit the redfish run one year.

Nice. We are thinking of staying a few extra days since the weather isn’t going to be great this weekend. Maybe we’ll hit up Frisco on the back end.
