A few of us have been discussing a meeting point where we can get together for some camping and drive some trails, we want to have a central point that is accessible to most members.

The Champagne region looks to be relatively accessible and some routes are known, any other options?

When do we do this? my thought is early next year as most of us are struggling for days off this year now.

please any ideas lets hear them - time, place, agenda, base camp or A-B, camping places

If anyone wants to volunteer to arrange the meet its also good (local member or not)

Ok, Iam in, will be happy to organise this. As I have plenty of time. Hoepfully your calenders will have some space then.
Good, I suggest Easter weekend. That is a longer weekend. And with just one or two days longer it will be great.
The weather can be good or not. But the tracks wont be dry like hell then.

I suggest a basecamp, as most people come from far and a basecamp will provide lesser work in the evening at arrival.
If we have some Tarps, we can make a larger area were stuff during the day can be stored and we can travel lighter.

Tracks we will find and if people have some, we can share them.

Camping is a bit of an issue during that period, not much campsites are open.
And wild camping with many people is definitly getting attention.
Wouldnt like to be fined by the Gendarmerie in the middle of the night.

um yeah i see the camping could be difficult
 
And Easter is for loads of people a 4 day or at least a 3 day weekend. No extra days needed
 
Looks interesting, might be able to do that, Monday is a holiday so if i take one day i can be there saturday morning.
Since my workplace is closed on Monday's i get Tuesday of as well :-D

I might be interesting in a trip that period. The wife still has to aprove of course.. Haha
 
Iam planning this, Have already some tracks, and found some campsites.
And some people are already in.
Can make it a Rally point. But, if not, that is no problem.
The biggest problem in Europe is, whatever you organise, more as 7 Rigs on a trip is a no go.
Or you need to split up the group.

So we will never be able to do a Budel tour. You need permits for that.

If you dont like this, well, we can do one on another date or in the same time somewhere else. France is big.

Hello guys,

Just happened to see this thread. Problem is that you really have to spend time on this forum to remark some things. Maybe the new app will be more intuitive/logic/whatever....

Anyway, looking forward to your final dates. Just think that an easter weekend is in an 14 day easter holiday for the kids, so most people are on holiday.

We will be travelling in Spain then. So with a little luck, maybe we are lucky to come.

Easter might be possible to come over for a night..
Depends on where and when exactly :) .
