Newnes is a favourite of mine for an overnighter.

Newnes looks pretty awesome to camp, lots of old stuff to walk around and see and places to stop along the way there. I'm not too too stressed about the cold (I live in the midwest in the states), but I'll keep that in mind for sure. Really excited to get to see the country! Is there a book or something that has a map of the dirt roads in NSW?
You can pick up a HEMA paper map at any ARB or TJM which will show the trails.
Google Earth is getting pretty good as well now.
